New Brunswick Regional Heritage Fair Awards
Miramichi Landings is pleased to announce we will again be participating in the District 16 Heritage Fair, by presenting an award recognizing the individual or group who create a project with a theme best focusing on one of the 11 Miramichi Landings sites.

The winner of the 2011 Miramichi Landings Award was Benson Doak from Harkins Elementary, whose projected focused on Vye's Beach, Canadian Point and Beaubears Island.

Additionally, the Friends of Beaubears Island presented their own award to Jayme MacMillan, Abbigail Larsen, and Shelby Morris of Harkins Elementary for their project focusing on Miramichi Landings as a whole.

Boat Operator – Tour & Ferry Boat Service

The Friends of Beaubears Island Inc. are seeking a reoccurring seasonal Boat Operator for a 30 ft – 90 hp, Scout Pontoon Boat.

• Operator will provide daily transportation to Beaubears Island & Wilson's Point from Bicentennial Park, Nelson Waterfront;
• Be responsible for safe operation & safety features, basic maintenance, accurate logs, overseeing First Mate;
• This position will also include light maintenance at site.

Must be available Saturdays, Sundays, evenings and holidays.

Candidate must have the following Transport Canada Certifications:

1. SVOP – Small Vessel Operational Proficiency
2. MED A3 – Marine Emergency Duty
3. First Aid & CPR
